If you haven't donated to the Clarendon Fire Department yet this year, consider donating during Warren Gives, a 12-hour, online-only donation event on May 14, 2014 lasting from 8am until 8pm.

Designated as a "special day of giving," Warren Gives aims to raise awareness of non-profits in Warren County and to inspire charitable giving to these organizations. According to the Warren Gives website, the event raised $146,194 last year in just 12 hours.

This year, Northwest Savings Banks and Betts Foundation join the Community Foundation Of Warren County, Defrees Family Memorial Fund and the Sara Sokolski Family Fund to increase this year’s match from $25,000 to $35,000! Match dollars will be distributed proportionally to organizations based on the donations they receive.

Here's how the event will work:

  • - Search for your organization, read about their mission and needs
  • - On May 14, a DONATE button will be active on each organization’s page
  • - Follow the simple directions for making a fully secure donation.  Minimum $25 – See Donation & Match Guidelines below for complete details
  • - Only Visa, Mastercard, and Discover will be accepted for this special event
  • - 100% of your donation goes directly to the charity
  • - All participating charities will receive a percentage of the $35,000 match
  • - Local media will be reporting live
